About Monica

Two decades tracking what technology does to people.

Monica Magalhaes is a computer scientist, researcher, and author of 2075: A Futurist's Look at Technology, Life, Work, and Society. She founded Moovers, a community dedicated to futurism, and serves on the Board of the Coca-Cola Brazil Institute.

For over two decades she has tracked technological change and its impact on organizations, work, and society. She works as a field researcher across the world's leading innovation ecosystems, from China to Silicon Valley, connecting technology, culture, behavior, and strategy to understand how the future starts to take shape.

Recognized as one of Brazil's leading voices on quantum computing applications, she brings her research to companies, universities, and major events through talks, foresight projects, and learning experiences. As a TEDx Speaker, she has delivered more than 400+ talks and reached close to 500,000 people.

She holds an executive certificate in Disruptive Innovation from Harvard and IMD, plus a Future Thinker certification from the Institute for the Future. She also works to expand women's presence in technology, helping build the next generation of references and leaders in the field.
